THIRD ORDER CARMELITE ON THE ROAD TO BEATIFICATION

THIRD ORDER CARMELITE ON THE ROAD TO BEATIFICATION

On January 17, 2009 the Holy Father, Benedict XVI, received in private audience His Excellency Mons. Angelo Amato, SDB pro-Prefect of the Congregation of the Causes of Saints.

In the course of the audience, the Holy Father authorized the Congregation to promulgate the decree regarding the heroic virtues of the Servant of God, Liberata Ferrarons y Vivés, Lay member of the Third Order of Carmel, born in Olot (Catalonia, Spain) on April 19, 1803, and died on June 21, 1842 also in Olot.

This is the first important step on the road to beatification. It is now necessary to ask for a miracle through the intercession of the Venerable Liberata in order for her to be declared a blessed.

I was not able to find much information yet on Liberata Ferrarons y Vivés.  If anyone has any information or find anything credible online – please let me know
